Crying in Public

GreenFlower Have you ever noticed someone crying and stopped to ask if they were OK? I did last Saturday…. then I ended up a few hours later being the one crying (in public). It was so hard for me since I usually don’t cry! Especially in front of others!! The girl thru the drive thru that was crying looked so sad, I had asked her if she was OK and she said “Yes, I’m fine.” I gave her a nice farewell telling her I hoped her day would get better. Don’t know how many people noticed me while I was upset, no one stopped to see if I was OK. Though, I was not crying uncontrollably, I just that unhappy, few tears rolling down the face. Thank God my husband was on his way so I was able to have him comfort me….

What would you do if you saw someone crying in public?

Home Again! Be Nice to Others.

BWHeartHi everyone! Have you missed me? I really missed being home, it was so nice getting away for a few days and visiting with family. My girls had a blast, which is what really matters. Did you get to spend time with family and friends? I plan on having a great summer! Memorial Day has always started out our summers….. Now it shall begin!!

A positive thought for the day…. Be nice to yourself! Be nice to others! And it will make you feel happier than you could have ever imagined.

I spent some time in the Smoky Mountains and the service, people, etc… all so courteous, friendly! LOVED it!!! Get home and ladies that I’ve know for awhile, walking right past me and my house, while I’m watering my garden…. walk right by without even a wave. No “hello”, nothing. So sad!! It’s not that I’m missing out on their friendship, they are missing out on mine!

How did you spend your Holiday Weekend?

Magnificent Monday!

MagnificentMondayHow many of us have books that we have not read and will never read. Not many people read all of their books, let alone more than once. Someone could benefit from books you no longer want. You can give to someone you know personally who might be interested in the book, or just donate your books to your local Good Will. Especially children’s books. I like to covet my books that I have read, that I know I won’t read again. Though I draw a line when it comes to all of the children’s books I have collected. Most of these books are from our library book sales, which are in my opinion the BEST way to get your children a variety of books.

This Monday’s idea: Donate your books.

How many books do you have in your home library?

Horoscope

01400_fractalIt’s amazing how my horoscope tends to be on the money! I have had so many days that it is describing what I had been thru that day, when I read it after the fact and/or describing what I was pondering that day.

Today’s is a great one…. part of my horoscope said “Having excitement in your life can get boring after a while, so get ahead of the  curve by slowing down, today. Quit while you’re ahead and remind yourself how  nice it can be to stay at home and watch TV.” Staying at home and watching TV sounds perfect.

What are your plans for this Sunday?

Magnificent Monday!

MagnificentMonday Last Monday was not so Magnificent… With all of the craziness in Boston then in Texas, it was a hard week for us all.

Today starts off a new week.  Pick the charity you like and set aside some money to give to them.  Whether you donate to the Boston or Texas relief funds or your favorite charity, contribute what you can to help others in need.

Remember, this is for you to do something nice for yourself or someone else. It can be as little as a smile, a hello, opening a door for someone…

This Monday’s idea: Donate money to a charity.

What did you do today to make someone else’s’ life a little better?

Torn – Boston Tragedy

Capture Do I really care if they catch the second brother dead or alive? He may have been influenced by his older brother, does that excuse his actions? I don’t blame his family for “trying” to defend them, until proven guilty. Would you without a doubt defend your family members? Their running away from the police proves their guilt to me.

How are you coping with the Boston Tragedy?
